Link building services that earn links Google actually counts
Link building is earning relevant links from real websites, checked before and after they go live. Backlinks are links from other websites to yours, which Google treats as votes of trust. Our link building services get you the links that help a local business rank, and none of the ones that put it at risk. ADEL SEO helps local businesses get more enquiries from Google, Google Maps and AI search, with websites, SEO and Google Ads. Founded in Adelaide in 2014 by Wilson Tiong, who has been doing SEO since 2007.

Cheap link packages: why we turn them down
If you've been offered 100 backlinks for $99, you're not alone. Those links usually come from link farms: sites that exist only to sell links. Google's spam policies say links made to manipulate rankings can hurt the site they point to. (Google's spam policies on link spam)
Wilson, our founder, on what he sees:
“
"I genuinely avoid taking clients that had bought, or whose previous SEO providers used, cheap link packages or Fiverr SEO links. If I spot them on my clients' sites, I try to disavow them to avoid any penalty from Google."
Wilson Tiong, founder of ADEL SEO
A disavow tells Google to ignore links you didn't ask for. It is the clean-up step after cheap links, and it is why we would rather build fewer links, properly.

How our link building works
01
We start with the links your competitors already have
We look at the backlinks of the businesses that rank above you for the searches that matter. Links they have from local, relevant sites are usually links you can get too: the same associations, suppliers, directories and local sites.
02
We check the site before we chase a link
Before a site goes on our list, we check that its own pages are in Google. If Google isn't showing the site's pages, a link from it is unlikely to count, so we don't pursue it.
03
Directory listings that match everywhere
Citations are listings of a business's name, address and phone on other websites, which must match everywhere. We find the directories Google usually indexes, fix old details first, then add the missing ones. Google and AI tools trust a business more when its name, address and details match everywhere.
04
We check every link after it goes live
About two weeks after a link appears, we check that Google has indexed the page it sits on. If not, we check again in week four and replace the link if it still isn't counted.
05
We keep a register and clean up the bad ones
Every link we track goes in a register with its status, checked every month. Harmful links from link farms are flagged and, where needed, disavowed.
Link building for local businesses
For a plumber, a clinic or an accountant, the links that matter most are local and relevant: your trade association, the suppliers you buy from, local business groups, sponsorships, and directories in your area. They are slower to get than a bought package, but they are links a competitor can't buy overnight, and they help in Google Maps as well as the normal results. See local SEO.
Link building Australia-wide, not just from overseas
Many backlink building services sell links in bulk from overseas sites. For an Australian local business, links from Australian sites in your trade or area are usually more relevant. We work with businesses across Australia, from offices in Adelaide, Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

Link building FAQs
What is a link building service?
A link building service earns links from other websites to yours, so Google trusts your site more. A good one finds relevant sites, checks they are real and indexed, and checks each link after it goes live.
How do I choose a link building agency?
Ask four things: where will the links come from, will you check the sites are in Google, what happens if a link disappears, and do I get a list of every link? If the answer is a fixed number of links for a low price, walk away.
How many backlinks do I need?
There is no set number. The businesses ranking above you show what is normal for your searches. A few relevant links usually do more than hundreds of weak ones.
Can link building get my website penalised?
Bought links from link farms can. Google's spam policies treat links made to manipulate rankings as spam. Relevant links from real local sites are what Google expects a good business to have.
I already have lots of backlinks. Why am I not ranking?
Many may be from sites Google ignores, or links you'd be better without. We check your existing links first and tell you which ones help.
How long does link building take to work?
Google has to find the page a link sits on first; we check that about two weeks later. Rankings usually move over months, together with your website and Google Business Profile, not from links alone.
How much do link building services cost?
Link building is part of our ongoing SEO for small businesses, usually around $1,500 to $2,000 + GST a month in total. We don't sell links by the hundred.
What's the difference between link building and off-page SEO?
Off-page SEO is everything outside your website that affects rankings: links, reviews, listings and mentions. Link building is the links part. Our guide explains the rest: what is off-page SEO?
