ADEL SEO helps local businesses get more enquiries from Google, Google Maps and AI search. This page explains what personal details we collect through this website, why, where they are kept and how you can ask us to change or delete them.
What we collect
- When you ask for a free website preview: your current website address, business name, your trade (on our tradie form), first name, email address and mobile number.
- When you fill in our discovery form: the details you type in, such as your name, business, contact details and what you need help with.
- When you use the live chat on our website: your messages and any details you type into the chat, such as your name, email address or phone number.
- When you email or call us: your name, contact details and what you tell us.
- When you visit the website: Google Analytics records how the site is used, such as pages visited, the type of device and roughly where visitors are (city level). It uses cookies. It does not tell us who you are.
Why we collect it
- To prepare and send your free website preview, and to follow up about it.
- To answer your questions and talk with you about our services.
- To keep spam out. Our forms automatically check enquiries for signs of spam or sales offers. If an enquiry is flagged and you still choose to send it, it reaches us with a flag and we still read it.
- To check that enquiries come from Australia. Our forms only take enquiries from Australia, so they look up the country of the internet (IP) address an enquiry is sent from. The forms don't save that address. Country data by DB-IP, licensed under CC BY 4.0.
- To send you a small number of follow-up emails about your preview or enquiry. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and we stop when you ask.
- To understand which pages help visitors, so we can improve the website.
We never sell your details or share them with anyone for their own marketing.
Your website preview
We build your preview from what is already public on your website: your words and your photos. The preview is private. It is password protected, hidden from Google and other search engines, and not linked from anywhere. If you don't go ahead, or don't reply, we delete it after 30 days.
Where your details are kept
Your details are kept in the tools we use to run the business:
- our email inbox (Google)
- a private file on our website hosting, which the public cannot open
- Paperform (enquiries sent through our previous discovery form)
- Salesflare (our follow-up emails)
- Plutio (where we manage client projects and tasks)
- Google Analytics (website visits)
Some of these services store data outside Australia. We only use well-known services that protect the data they hold.
Our location pages show a map from Google Maps. When the map loads, Google may collect information under its own privacy policy.
Live chat: the chat on this site is run by Scout, an AI assistant, not a person. What you type is sent to Anthropic's Claude service (based in the United States) to generate replies and is kept on our server for 90 days, then deleted. A daily copy of the chats is emailed to our team so we can improve our answers. If you agree to be contacted, the details you give and a copy of the chat are emailed to our team and kept with our other enquiries. We don't use the chat to make automated decisions about you, and you can call us instead at any time.
How long we keep it
- Website previews: deleted after 30 days if you don't go ahead.
- Enquiries that don't go further: deleted within 2 years of our last contact.
- Live chat messages: deleted from our server after 90 days. If you agree to be contacted, a copy is kept with your enquiry and deleted within 2 years of our last contact if you don't become a client.
- Clients: business records such as invoices are kept for 5 years, as the tax law requires. Other details are deleted when we no longer need them.
Your choices
- You can ask what details we hold about you, ask us to correct them, or ask us to delete them.
- You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time with the link in each email, or just reply and tell us.
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The website still works without them.
