Retaining walls, for sloping blocks.
A retaining wall turns a slope into usable level ground for lawn, paving or garden beds. The drainage behind it matters as much as the wall you see.

Wall types
- Timber sleepers: warm and natural, for lower walls.
- Concrete sleepers and blocks: clean, modern and long-lasting.
- Sandstone: natural blocks that suit established gardens.
Built to last
- Gravel backfill and ag pipe drainage behind every wall.
- Footings sized for the height and the soil.
- Engineering and council approval where the height requires it.
How it works
Design, build, grow.
Design
We visit, measure up, look at light, soil and drainage, and talk through how you want to use the space. Then we draw a plan with planting.
Build
Walls, paving, drainage, garden beds, irrigation and lawn, built to the plan by our own team.
Grow
Planting, mulching and a care guide, with a check-in after the first season to see how everything is settling in.
Questions
Good to know.
Do I need approval for a retaining wall?
Higher walls, or walls near boundaries or buildings, can need engineering and approval. We tell you on the site visit.
Which material lasts longest?
Sandstone, concrete sleepers and concrete blocks outlast timber, especially in wet ground.
